Cuda (Small).jpg

Last winter restored and rewired the dash to avoid fires. This winter I will rebuild the front end to avoid accidents!

Been looking for a Barracuda for awhile..just picked up a 67 Notch 273 4 bbl auto. Will probaly keep the 273 but will keep an open mind about 360 and match to Tremec manual

Here's my '67 I bought a couple months ago. So just recovered buckets and new fuel tank. She runs real fine. Hope to have body/paint done by spring.

Our project, '68 340-S 4-speed. We bought this exactly 3 years ago hoping it would be done for his 16th B-day.... he turns 16 next month so we may be shooting for 18. Its been alot of fun so far, have spent ALOT of money, now need to save for the bodywork & paint.

Here's mine! 69' 383-S Fastback, 4 Speed, 58,000 original miles. Pretty much all original inside and out. Just got this a couple of months ago! Just doing a little clean-up on it. Car was in storage for 10 years.

And this would be mine ... LimeLight rather than Sublime, with some extra fine gold metal flake added in. :-D

Bought it April 9, 1991 as a total POS basketcase for $250 ... complete with the infamous "box of spare parts in the trunk." It's come a long way since then. I'm almost out of picture room on here so click on the link if you want to see more of the resto; all the mods / specifications are listed there too. I've had it so long the earliest pics are on real film LOL.

Bought mine in 2004 for $4000, was 318/904/7.25. Now 418/904/8.75. Just finished the front disc brakes before deploying to beautiful Afghanistan. Next up probably a fiberglass hood and new carpet.

What I noticed lately is back when I first got my car, you never saw the Notchbacks at the events, only fastbacks. I remember in Englishtown in 1992 having people asking what the car was and being surprised when I said it was a 1967 Barracuda. Knowledgeable Mopar guys knew it but it seemed many spectators didn't know the Barracuda was available in something other than a fastback. It was what first attracted me to the car (being something different). Now it seems I see more notchbacks than fastbacks, this thread included.

Here's mine:

Still a work in progress, planned winter project is new heads and intake and to shed some weight off the car.

I like this car!!!
I have noticed alot more notchback's myself lately.
I like the purple racing harnesses you found as well, nice touch.
I have a question for you, check your P/M's.

You have seen it before and here it is again.....yes I love the older barracudas.

Mop

Just a simple question and you've probably been asked this before,BTW,that car is awsome.Wondering why you didn't shave the door handles, with the rest of the car being so clean with a small amount of brightwork I thought it would be a natural.8)

I tried to keep as much of the original chrome on the car and still have it look clean and fresh....i.e. modern...that's why the side emblems are gone and the p l y m o u t h on the front are gone. If you see the car up close there is still A LOT of bright work on it. Notice the drip rails and trim around all of the windows are still intact I also did the 68-69 conversion on the front and rear windows.

Personally I hate shaved door handles....always looks like something is missing.

The hood and trunk still sport the barracuda in the winner circle emblems as well.

Thanks for you comments.

What do you mean about the conversion on the windows? I'm doing a 67, I'm a long way from worrying about windows, but thought I'd ask and keep the info in the back of my mind?
