Does anyone know if a 67 Plymouth Barracuda Rallye Dash came with a 150 MPH speedometer with a trip odometer? If so, does anyone have a part number for 150 MPH Rallye dash speedometer with trip odometer. (Takes the screw on speedometer cable)
If this was not at valid option what is the part number for 67 Plymouth Barracuda Rallye Dash 120 MPH speedometer with trip odometer?

I am going to place a wanted ad for a 67 speedometer and need information before placing this ad.
PS I have what I believe is a 68 or later one part number 2927719. Push on speedometer cable.

This for a customer of mine he has exactly what your car has except no tachometer. He wants to go to 150 MPH speedometer gauge and would like to know if this was a factory option or can be retro fitted to fit his car. His current speedometer is locked up. So, if we can get a 150 MPH speedometer with trip odometer that has a screw on cable that is what he wants to do. If not, can I install this one in his current dash and just change the cable?

This was an old drag car put back on the street. The speedometer gear and cable have just been replaced by owner, but the current speedometer is locked up. So Now it is unhooked as to not ruin the gear or cable.

you just missed a screw on 67 150 mph speedo with odometer on ebay. I went to get you the item number and it had just recently sold. I have one in my 67 Formula s and it is a screw on. I believe it to be original set up. 67 screw on numbers radial at angle...early 68 same...mid 68 clip on numbers radial...very late 68 clip on numbers possibly horizontal. Someone on here will have one or know whether you can swap cables. Good Luck

The part number for the '67 150MPH speedometer is 2771628, and IIRC they were available with a trip odometer. Early '68's used a screw-on cable too, but, I can't remember if they were the same '67 version face or, the '68 version.

I would think that a 1968, 150mph would fit a 1967. All 150mph speedo's had tripometer, some 120mph did also. To add to the confusion, I have owned two 1968 cuds's, late '68, and both of them had screw-on cables. If one wants a 150mph speedo, any should work. Make sure you get the knob with it.

If you can locate the '67 brochure I'm sure you'll find that the 150mph speedo and trip were available as well as the tach.

I am trying to come up with a parts list. Hopefully only do this job once. So any one with part number please let me know.
Part number so far. (please correct me if I am wrong)

I'll have to look at the build sheet for the Wife's Formula S and see if there's a speedo option in the mix. As I showed above, she has the 120 MPH with trip and tach and they are original.

I believe 1967 Barracuda are the only year for 120 mph speedo with trip odometer. That may have been std in that year only??

I believe Rallye Instrument Group option gave you a 150mph speedo with trip OD. Check with ordering brochure's, but I think option 67, 68, and 69.

I show the '68 150 speedo as being 2889424, and the late '68-9 cable being 2889783. The speedo face plates were silk screened differently from '67 to '69 if you care about the look.

Do you know if part number 2889424 68 150 speedo had a trip odometer? Cable type screw on or push on?

Since they only list the one speedo in the FSM, I'm assuming it's the push-on type and has trip.

In 67 both the 120 and 150 had the trip, no 67 had no trip.
The 150 was part of the Decor Group (woodgrain dash and door inserts, chrome pedal trim)

I thought the 150 mph speedo was part of the formula S package?
Not in any of the three years, in 68/69 it was part of the sport package (Sport Steering Wheel, Custom Sill Molding, Wood-Grain Instrument Panel)
In 69 it was noted that you could get the Rallye Instrument Panel independently of package. In 67/68?

Formula-S
1967: HP Engine (273-4 or 383), HD Suspension, Sway bar, 5.5" wheels w/Red Lines, Badge.
1968/9: 340 or 383, Dual Exhaust, HD Suspension Group, 5.5" wheels w/Red Lines, Badging.

Alan

Fun fact, '67 with the 383 was the only version with mandatory disc brake option, and dual exhaust.
383 was only available with the Formula S and required the disc brake option (disc not standard on Formula S).
The dual exhaust was specific to the '67, included with the 383, and not available w/o the 383.
