Hey Darren that is awesome!! I want to ask. Is paint SPI paint or PPG? I know you mentioned using SPI epoxy primer but I wonder on the top coat. Also is it a single stage paint or base coat clear coat?
Nice.. mine is GG1 color
Yes.. it started off as a driver resto, but like everthing else, it's Turing into more lol. . ThanksFollowed your thread, bet you'll have that big smile on your face for a long time!! Lots of memories and stories to be told with a project like this.

Yes but what a difference it made MichaelYep, mine snowballed like that. I now have new bumpers, restored tail panels, restored grill shells, a few other new pieces of chrome, new glass, and etcetera.

Thats some good info.. make sure and let us know when you match it up to a GG1 car..Mine was originally a GG1 car. I did some searching and found a "newer" more widely available color that was a pretty good match. Paint code is GM 91/wa9529. I had a few spots under the splash shields and under the package tray that had not seen sunlight since 1968, if ever, and I could not tell the difference between that color and the bottle of 91/wa9529 touch up paint I purchased. So had it painted w/ the PPG basecoat clearcoat and then they wet sanded the car and buffed it. One of these days I'll park it next to a GG1 car and see if I can tell the difference.
DarrenI put the front valance on today , the guy that painted the Cuda was not able to wet sand the valance because it was to flimsy, so I took a shot at wet sanding the valance after it was installed. Although the picture is not the best I am really happy with how it turned out.
