Im upgrading to CPP disk brakes up front and am running a 1.25” sbp to bbp adapters out back. I have 15x7 american racing rims with 4.5” backspace. Can i fit 225 70 r15 without rubbing? The rears look kinda close when i measure with a tape but its all eyeballing and the front i havent assembled so cant measure. If like to order a set of tires today. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Yes i searched and it was not clear at all btw

The rear wheel looks like it's outside the wheel opening.

67 dart with stock steel 14x5.5 wheels and 215 70R14 tires.

Stock steel wheel has a back spacing of 3 5/8

You can get tire info from tire rack .

Then do the math and see is you have the room.

Keep in mind body roll and lateral shifting.

Dark mark is where the tire rubbed under some situation

That spacer is taking up the tire clearance.

Measure straight up from the wheel to the quarter, how close is it?

just as a data point:

68 dart, 8.75 w/ BBP axles, 15X6.5 4.25BS steelies, 235/65 cobras, hotchkiss springs (so it's low), i can just barely fit my fingers between the lip and the tire. the driver's side has a little more room than the passenger.

i think you're going to be very, very close.
