Here are some pics of my dart. My father and I restored it back in 92ish. It was my first car, four speed 340 with 3:55 posi. I had to sell it when I went to college. For gas mileage... UGGGH! This is a pic of my now wife and I in my Senior picture. Over the years I lost track of the car. In January I stumbled on it, on Ebay with one hour left. In Ca. and I live in Illinois! I verified the car, lost the bid AND CONTINUED TO HAGGLE UNTIL I made a deal after the auction.. Got my car back and life is good, now my boys can help me and my dad do it again. cheers friends.

that is very cool....ever tried the lottery?

That's awesome! I seen 2 sbp cragers for sale on here lately. Newstalgia wheel sells them and I think Summit racing does as well. Congrats.

Nice story! how about some more pics of the car now? Enjoy your car and the memories you will make with it the second time around.

Your a lucky man.
My 1969 340 swinger was crushed in 1985 by the guy I sold it to..

Great to hear this.
Not many people get a second chance like you did.
Welcome to FABO and we need more pics!

Great news on the find. Hence for me I guess, that is why I have owned my 2 Dart Swingers since the very early 80's & not sold any.

You are a very lucky guy. Congrats on a major score. I sold my 70 340 swinger after owning it for 26 years and i am kicking myself in the *** ever since. Please keep the pictures coming.

Hey guys
Well its been two years since I got my car back and I have really made strides! I have been doing a little at a time. Here is a pic I took Saturday. I am very pleased with my results. I replaced a lot of metal and had to dust off my body tools but all in all the body and paint turned out pretty well. The car runs fantastic! I have been through the brakes and in every nook and crany, I still need to detail the trunk and do a headliner. Along with about a thousand other little things, But now I feel I can roll up to a cruise night and hang with everyone! Take care. Doug
