I made these mounts today, out of .090
Mild steel rectangle tubing they only weigh 7 pounds for the pair.
then the bar to bolt the back of the seat to the cage. Just welded them in a few minutes ago.

Ohhh, looking forward to seeing this!
It's coming right along already, I think I was going to make a pan a couple years ago and it peaked your interest too .
I feel a little better doing this pan now that I have a better skill set.

It needs a little work still.
I need to make up some pick up boxes still & I am going to angle the corners to make the bolts easier to get in.
As soon as I see it in the car I am going to make a kick out for the pick ups.
Here's my 1st real fabrication, you'll see from the picture that I made a change and also I made another 1 piece flange that sits over the rail for .250 thick flange.

I made a block off plate with 1/2 inch 6061 aluminum plate. Just need to take it to work where the real drill bits are and I'm waiting on a few AN fittings to finish my pan and plate.
I just wanted to say this is really fun doing all this stuff at home where I have to hand held drill stuff, use a DeWalt jigsaw and elbow grease to hold the thing down lol.

Im going to make some simple aluminum door panels today, maybe save a pound or 2 in the process.
God bless the USA!

Okay, I made 4 simple door panels out of .040 aluminum sheet (free)
The back 2 are modified to fit my wheel tubs.
Gotta take a break from the sun now.

I had to look that up, I never heard that before lol

I got that from Wayne Harry when I first met him in 1991 before I went to work for him.

He has lots of those kind of sayings. Like socks on a rooster, Hemi dong beater and others. Oh yeah, whiz bang in gym shorts…lots of good ones.

I figured I'd do a little update since I actually did something.
Today I put my connecting rods together torqued to spec 30 ft lbs + 60° and honed them
I don't have a picture of that.
I also put on the final layer of splash zone epoxy, need to do some port matching and see about roughing up the epoxy, splash zone seems to be soft, then finish it with polyester filler and make it pretty.
Finally, I have some before and after flow bench tests of ootb trickflow 240s and my ported 240s.
This bench has audie tech software and reads 12% lower numbers then super flow benches compared. The trickflows numbers are really close if the 12% is added. Who knows if the numbers are inflated or this bench reads low ???

last picture is from boring a indy Maxx hemi block to 4.500, gathered up 19 pounds of hard sleeves.

I did a little work on my car after manning a grinder and scraper for hours today at my friend's house.
I made a bolt on flange plate for my steering column, I just need to weld it and transfer holes.
I will need to make a mounting flange to bolt it to the dash next .

Impressive gains in the lower part of the lift range!!! And also pretty dang good up top on the intake flow. Nice work! Regardless of percent difference for the benches, you’re still able to see the magnitude of the modifications, and that they took you in the right direction!

Hard to believe TF240’s have been out for nearly 10 years already.
The first one I tested here was in 10/15.

They have certainly made a big impact on that market.
