72 Demon Chrome Wheel Opening Trim

The "chrome" fender trim on my 72 Demon is peeling and needs to be replaced. To be honest I'm not sure if this stuff is just that random trim you can buy at autozone or if this actually came on these cars from the factory.

If factory, where can I purchase replacements for the front/rear wheel openings?

Wheel Opening Moldings or Wheel Trim Moldings. Layson's is one place of many that sell's them.

Yeah it is adhesive backed and very bad quality so I assumed it wasn't.

I bought moldings from 5 different cars to get a fairly decent set for my 66.

I bought a reproduction set for my dad's 72 Super Sport Chevelle and I was embarrassed to tell him we just wasted $250...by the time I had installed 3 of his new repops...I saw him on the bench tooling out his dents on his original ones...lmao...he knew without me saying a word

It would be best to place a Parts Wanted ad here and find a good used set ot put together a set from multiple members. The originals will fit.
