72 Pro Street Dart

I would remove the torsion bars from the trunk lid,as the braces need to have thier wheel well spot welds drilled out.
I didn't took em off i just cut braces close to the tub then when i took the halve of the tub out i grind the spot welds so no holes to fill later, then cut the remaining of the brace of the hinge support and add the fabricated piece to weld the tub and support together, following the contour of the trunk support.
you can see it in this picture!

wow let me say you are building on awesome dart there. but unless you have already bought the pro comp dist i would recommend you get the fire core dist.the fire core is a lot taller and clears aluminum valve covers better. now i don't know if the edelbrocks heads are like my Indy ez heads but the pro comp dist would not work with my Indy ez heads. but i did run the pro comp dist when i had my 906 headed 440 in my dart and the dist worked fine.here is pic comparing the dist. best of luck on your build and look forward too seeing it completed. Thanks Mopar65

HI i bought the dizzy from DON at FBO. not really remember waht i cost but i am thinking around 250 shiped and that was about 2 years when i bought it. also for that price he set up my advance etc for my engine specs.but i think you might beable to buy it straight from the dealer now.

here are some links for you.

That thing looks awesome buddy, i really will try not to use mine but if i have no other option it will be the only one i will use, my car will be a EFI car and i am using a single plane victor intake from Edelbrock that is pretty tall but i will fab a throttle bode elbow with low profile design to try avoiding using the scoop but if i got no luck well it will look good anyways!

Took couple of hrs. today to give my car some love on the floor boards before installing the new carpeting i got laying flat on my guest room king size bed!

Goza Machine Shop in Acworth GA is taking care of the .40 over, balance, align hone, squared the deck, rebuild the crankshaft 10 - 10 under before balance it with the billet flywheel, fluid damper harmonic balancer, Spec pressure plate, and installing the cam bearings on the block, Mr Tommy Goza is the best cant wait to get it back to start the engine assembly and blue print!

I did took apart the 833 trany with my 6 year old daughter and we just finish yesterday rebuilding it with new bearings, tail housing synchronizers and gaskets set, trust me without my daughter i couldn't do it, she got a photographic memory AWESOME!

I am doing this car for me and never stop working on it, but as i said before everything got a price and if someone comes with what i want for it, i will sell.

Hell, I wanna see you finish it. You have done some crazy awesome stuff. I can't wait to see how clean your engine bay is gonna be. Mine is a mess lol

I went to pick up the engine from the machine shop and it is awesomely done, all the tolerances are just perfect, so i will be putting this puzzle together very soon!
