more to come, later in week.

its not even going to be ready for buds next year most likely, we hope to get it painted some time next year though. Itll be ready when i can drive, im 14 now. were trying to get our buddy who lives right down the street to bring his real 70 t/a challenger to budds but i dont think hes going to, i wish e would, its something like 1-22 in plumb crazy even hough hes got it silver right now.

Looks great man!! I'm about 1 year into MY 1973 Duster 340!! Keep the pics coming.

thanks, i think were going to get new exhaust for the 74 before we do anything else to this one, hes getting a new wiring harness for this soon though, the 74s exhaust is crap.

just got in a new exhaust system from summit along with a mini starter, no pics for a while, camera ran out of battery. btw, headers are on and radiators in, motors pretty much done and passenger side rear quarter is primed and almost done.

Nice 340 duster. Keep up the progress. I can't wait to get started on mine. I think 73-74 dusters are the best looking. What color are you going to paint it?

Oh. And don't be getting those Chucks dirty. Shame shame. Best shoes ever. I have several pair.

haha, i got another pair of chucks. worn them since 4th grade and were thinking red most likely for the color. this car was originally silver with black stripes and bucket interior with a center-console. it had a/c and i think im missing something? ill try to put up the decoded fender tag.

A factory silver car and you want to change the color? Ahhh! Its all good though. I like silver cars. I know of a 71 340 4spd duster in a wrecking yard that is a factory A4 car. It is also a factory black out hood with the 340 call out. Here's a pic. Red looks good on dusters too. I found a wrecked 73 340 duster that was red on white a few years ago. It was beyond gone. Also a pic. I have ruined a few pairs of chucks working on mopars. So I can't criticize you to much. lol. Later, Jeremy. You can also see lots more pics of my cars as well as the cars I have found on my cardomain page. Link to my duster is in my sig.

man, you've got tons of a bodies out there what from im seeing. you think we should make it factory and paint it silver again? is that a rare color for a 73 340 with a/c? i wouldnt think so but im pretty sure were set on red. id like sublime green though!!!

I would say that silver is a rare color. I have only seen a select hand full of factory silver cars. None the less. It will be a sweet car no mater how you paint it, unless its that puke brown. But it will always be a real 340 car. so thats cool. Is it numbers matching? I don't remember reading if it was or not.

Jeremy

ya,its #s matching. been through all that. im going to get a pic of the fender tag for you guys to see sometime.i dont remember if i already said this or not but we got in a mini starter and complete exhaust system for it but... we need a heated garage. were also working on the dash right now and redid the instrument cluster, took out the heater box and am going to have to sand down some rust that is back there.

Well havent been on here or much on the car but we got a new wiring for the engine from year one, went on great in no more that 5 to 10 min. Working on painting dash now and motor is basically done. Pics sometime later. Hope to get some real primer on this year and are tossing around different color ideas like silver since it was originally silver and putting on a white stripe.

Do you want to sell the mopar air cleaner that was in the first engine pic?

Got a few pics, not much though. Redoing dash at the moment and cleaning up engine. Also cleaning underside, Installed most of the exhaust, priming engine bay but really tossing around color ideas now and are pretty much thinking sublime is the way to go. Just not entirely sure yet. Car was originally an A/C car and im thinking about putting it back to that, just not sure again. And the dipstick should be blue again by tomorrow :)

Got the dash all painted up. Going up to carlisle to get new bumpers and hope to have this off the bricks soon so we can get it around. Maybe some epoxy primer on the doors and fenders soon. Pics when we get back from carlisle. Also painting the engine bay right now so it will be black for a little until we get the time and money to get the motor pulled out so we can do the inside whatever color the car is. It might not go Sublime after all. We will see.

Got some done today. Engine bay is painted black. Will stay black till we get the engine out someday. :( I worked on getting most of the undercoating off of the front wheel wells and got the underside of the trunk undercoated. Should be ready to come off the blocks soon and will be started up. Took off the doors, front fenders, hood and trunk today. Plan on getting epoxy primer on them real soon. Within the next month but are still lost as far as what color. Ill try and get some pics sooner or later.

Sounds like good progress. Wish my cars were that far

A lot more done.

Scraped off the bad under coating on both side but there was a hole here and it was nasty. Bent some metal and pop riveted it in. Ran out of under coating. More pics later when its under coated and the fenders, doors, hood and trunk are off and ready for epoxy primer one of these weekends. Still lost on color. Thinking Silver with white stripe again.
