Upper hose looks better with the AL shortened. My only concern is that vibration may cause the AL to work harden and crack. Otherwise, excellent fabrication work as usual.

I had the same thought, not quite comfortable with that length of metal tubing, engine and road vibration...
Of course I could be completely wrong.

I had played around with making a support that tied to the top of the radiator and the aluminum tubing for support but since I shortened it quite a bit and the radiator is Rubber mounted for Vibration and the motor mounts are isolated with rubber bushings and shouldn't "Flex" much, I should be alright.
 
I picked up the Radiator from the local Radiator shop and then painted it with Eastwood Satin Radiator paint and assembled everything hopefully for the last time and bolted it in.
I like the finish and overall look especially with the Black hose ends. I also picked up a set of Hi-lo horns and decided to mount behind the left headlight bucket since like everything else I wanted them hidden...mission accomplished. Enjoy

Thanks for the comments guys...I spent sometime today swapping out the bushings in my QA1 coil overs for Bearings...a little bird told me they might Bind (thanks Denny) under compression. The cut down upper 4 link bars worked out great and I now have room to set my pinion angle. I also got some cheap insurance in the way of a Zinc Anode that replaced my Radiator petcock.

Yes...I actually stole the one's from the front kits since they have a .500" hole for the thru bolt, the bottom mounting stud's are .625" so I had to get those bearing from Summit... luckily it's so close. I think I'm going to need lighter springs also the 170lb ones are really holding the rear upon initial mock-up, but all the weight wasn't in it.
 
I got some more parts back from my Painter.....Deck lid, side Marker lights, Package shelf, Grille/latch support, Side mirrors and Fuel door. Everything turned out nice, the side markers are nice and flush to the fenders and quarters.

Just a reminder of what was done to the Grille support..I filled the Gaps in the stock sheet metal for a cleaner look against the Radiator cover. Most people, especially non-FABO members or those who aren't following along won't ever notice.

Wow that's a beautiful car. Want to come and finish mine? I've only got a couple of weeks left before number 2 arrives. I'm sure I won't have any time after that happens.

Here's a flash back to a couple years ago of how the spoiler was created also the Package Shelf built out of 16 gauge steel with stepped center separating the colors.

I wish it was Glass...Fiberglass that is. It kind of tail heavy with the 1/4" steel frame and 16 gauge steel skin I added .....I'm gonna have to adjust the torsion bars another notch.
