I'm refitting the motor, it was pinned against ridge of metal where floor pan plan and firewall are spot-welded together, had to shave about 3/8 of an inch off front mounts, then the other headaches come into play, steering-headers-drag link goes thru oil pan and it's all been fitted - reassembled and clearances checked. Mike
You’ve managed to fit 15” tires under mini tubs? Awesome. Who’s oil pan you using? Sorry I’m still in planning mode here with mine. I just about have it stripped. Then it’s off to sandblaster on rotisserie. Then the project starts for real. I would like to get as large of a tire in back as possible, pro street look.
I'll get it jacked up and get some pic's, I have paper work stating the axle tubes were cut back 2-1/2" on each end, 4.10 gears ,reverse valve body 727- 3,000 stall converter.
I welded that firewall seam solid all the way across, then flattened the seam, trans still doesn`t have a whole bunch of room .
.Did you get the pics of the tire and leaf spring and upper frame rail and outer 1/4 panel ? I may of sent to Famous Bob , he has been posting replys also. It's cool if he got them to, He's been there also
The slicks are 30/9/15 going with 29/15 which = 15 inch section width and 13 in of rubber on the road, as you can see the slicks section width = 13 inches with 9 inches of road contact. Mike
I'll get some pics of oil pan and how it need to be modified now that i have lowered the engine. Mike
now that gentlemen is what we call a measuring stick.[/QUOTE] Hell yes !! Snap on straight edge to small, 3' level to long , 30 inch 2x4 perfect !! LOL.
Yeah I've heard LOTS about Tim and his reputation with the hemis. Bewdley is literally 40 minutes from me. Dwight Voortsville is another hemi cuda guy close to Tim, Bewdley area as well. Wish I could pony up the $$. I'll enjoy it from the bleachers for now lol. Subscribed and congrats on progress. Monstrous builds in this thread, love it.
I believe Dwight is the trans guy friend of Tim's I've been talking to. He's a transmission builder, if its the same guy. Seems pretty straight up.
Hmm not sure if Dwight is trans guy or not but have met him several times and is a straight up knowledgable good guy. You've involved too notch people in this build! Kudos!
Just looked him up, Its Dwight Vorsteveld of Dwights Place transmission shop. Campbellcroft, Ontario.
Oil pan was fabed, the red marking shows where it needs to be raised and will still have clearance from rods, milodon may have something that will fit, this holds 10 quart's . Mike
Yep, that kinda was always one of my plans too, I remember having issues with that back when I fit up the 440
Demon B Leavin Are you running a fiberglass or steel hood? I have the exact same, taller HEMI hoodscoop
Steel with hinges , Weld rear rim sku # 96-512210 15x12 x4.5 lug pattern with 5.50 back spacing , sku # on fronts 96-56208 15x6 x4.5 lug pattern with 4.50 back spacing, may go thinner on fronts, but don't want to get to skinny with that Hemi hanging out there.
