Hi everyone this is my first post here. I had a quick question regarding my 8.75 green axle bearing. The bearing does not seem to want to seat itself into the housing and i was wondering if someone could give me the rundown on proper installation process. The bearing has a seal and a retainer ring of some sort on it. It seems to be that ring that is preventing the axle from fully pushing into the housing. It will fully seat if the backing plate isn't on so its only holding it back the thickness of the backing plate. Should the ring push through the backing plate or stay on the outside? Any insights would be appreciated.

I'll bet if you check you can pull that snap ring off and the seal and put the retaining plate on then put the snap ring on and put the seal on and should all fit in the housing nicely. At least that's how it looks to me

Awesome thanks everyone i will take it back to the shop i had press it on and see if they can turn it around. Hopefully it can be pressed off again without getting ruined. I appreciate the help!

Those press rings are made to be pressed ONCE. Once their pressed, if they're removed, they remain stretched a little. No way in the world would I trust it being pressed twice. Ain't happenin in my world.
