89/90 dakota motor

I have a freind that called and asked if I want the motor out of his truck(blow up) says its a 5.2 liter v8 I asked was it a 360 or 318 he said 318 but I thought that 5.2 would be a 360...anybody have a idea.....my get this motor for the roller setup

5.9 is the 360.

BigStrok3 is right. A 5.2 is a 318. And the roller setup will only do you good with a roller motor block because it uses a spider to hold the lifters down and that spider bolts to casting bosses on the block that are only on a roller motor block.

the 89 will be an LA engine, i think the 90 is also. i don;t think they used roller cams in any of the LA 318 engines.
the magnum engines used the roller setup. Doug

Right it is an LA engine but it would have a roller cam. Chrysler started using roller cams in the late 80's. I believe it was 87 but I could be a year off either way. Old farts memory acting up again.
