Is there a way to tell the difference by looking at the 2.74 verses the 2.45? 1.45/1.54? If so what are the differences. Thanks. Kim

Number of teath of sun to planet gears will give you ratio.

1.45/2.54 is 28 to 62 I do believe., but thats 727 IIRC.... not positive if 904 is the same.
Steeper ratio will be more teeth on the sun gear and less on the planetary.

This may help;

Look at your sun gear.... if its a 904 sun gear, it will look to have about the same gear on both sides of the shell.... the high ratio unit has a big difference as you can see from the above pics (links).

You will need the matching planetary for the wide ratio sun gears

and do not leave the output shaft behind!

the splines are shaped differently and must be used as a set, else ZING, you will be walking.
The spline-count is the same so you can swap them around no problem. But the regular 904 splines are sharp compared to the A999, and my mismatch went about 12 miles, when I lost propulsion. Then the hunt was on for what I could possibly have done wrong.
