A-230 transmission question

I have just bought a 1970 Dart 340 car. It came with the A-230 Transmission shifted in the floor and that is what makes it unique. I have found a 72' A-230 out of a Challenger complete with shifter and rods. The shifter looks different but will this trans and rods work in my A body? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the 3 speed is anything like the 4 speed as far as shifter mounting the B,E body tranny will be different than the A body.

Typically the extension housing is longer in the B and E body variants. Mostly to facilitate shifter mounting in the proper place.
