I was in the electrical section of the local "North 40" a bit ago picking up some stuff an this guy just came out and says "say do you know anything about batteries?"
Turns out he was looking for one for his boat, and his "mechanic" had told him he needed "at least" 1000 amp hours.
I says what kind of monster is this??
Turns out it's just an average Mercruiser V8, he doesn't fiddle around with big stereos, lights or a trolling motor, "just a ski boat."
So I explained to him his mechanic "might just be full of ****" and he was looking at a 500 A/H "marine" AGM battery which might be more than I'd have bought
WHERE TO THESE "mechanics" GET THIS??
