I'm going to try and steal it for a bit below 200.
Fixed!
Good for you if you can buy it that cheap. Now just remember, we all know so you can't resell it here! LOL

Let's just say " steel" is not a verbHuh?
Nope, I hadn't even noticed you yetYou talking to me ? you want a piece of me. lol
I detest grammar cops.
Then don't quote my post! I didn't misspell anything!Let's just say " steel" is not a verb
and I was poking you, all in fun. lolNope, I hadn't even noticed you yet
I was poking fun of Mike, while he was poking fun of the OP
I subscribe to that notion.Yea its a bit less than that. Figured it's better to buy when deap presents itself than to buy when you "need" one and have to pay a lot more.
Two years ago I sold a drum to drum axle with a 3.91 SG for $800 plus a rebuildable A body 8 1/4" axle with 3.21 gears.I sold one complete from drum to drum, 3.23 open for $450.00
I see some of the asking prices on here for them and laugh.
I was just amused by his claim to have fixed it, only to find he made a rather basic typoand I was poking you, all in fun. lol
But I do detest grammar cops.
I fixed my "lousy spelling" Kern Dog!Now, if someone could just fix your lousy spelling ...
So axles, a good gear, and a sure grip are free? Go ahead and buy a C-Body rear, axles cut down or buy new, new ends, new bearings, weld it together, buy the parts you need to finish it, then post a price. I guess your labor is free too...I wouldn't give 500 for one. By the time you pay somebody's gold plated 1000 dollar price tag, you couldda found a C body 8 3/4 and cut it to fit, or a Ford 9" or 8.8, or even a Mopar 8 1/4. If they want more than 500, let um hold it.
Price the parts to put together a reliable 8.75 and then make an offer. It cost money to go thru an axle so condition drives the price.
I have the ability to pick up a complete with brakes A-body 8.75 with 4.10 gears and no sure grip.
What would a good price be on it?

so...did you get it?
