A-Body nightmare at Home Depot

. Now when the car comes out and goes any where it goes in the spot all the way away from any other cars and I'll be an ahole and take two spots .......

You could take up four spots with that beauty and I wouldn't call you an ahole!! Very nice!!!!!

Need to have Hagertys insurance on classics. Thank God I had it on my 68 Charger that got T-boned by a afro American lady that flat ran a stop sign. Total loss. Her insurance didn't cover but up only $10,000 thousand but mine covered up to $15,000 so I had to file it on mine. Then the insurance agent that I personally know other than the business deal made it so my premium wouldn't go up because I had to file it on mine. Car was still worth more than that however and I got 13 stitches in my head.

Would it be hijacking this tread to point out that the problem might be with who is allowed behind the wheel of trucks? Or is that the point?
We know the way truck drivers are pushed to make time already.
And it is just going to get worse.
Too bad an A body was the casualty.
It’s always the good ones that get it.

Man, that charger was nice Ax.
I guess it the chance we have to take since we share the road with morons and idiots along with the rest of the good drivers.

That Charger is restoreable still right? I mean new door,fender.. they can repair the frame and replace the front end components. Am I being overly optimistic here ? I mean for enough money they can pretty much restore a classic car from the ground up with all the aftermarket goods and laser guided computer controlled frame straitening tech they have now. I hope that thing didn't get crushed or scraped. By the way I drive a 2006 Corolla for all my regular errands. 28 MPG, as reliable as it gets and its got the same potential to become a sought after classic as a roll of toilet paper.

I let the insurance company have it and could not remove anything unless I bought the car at a auction. After having a car for 16 years I just got so tired of it and now IF it was restore able I just didn't want to fool with it. At the time I was just heart broken and didn't want even to look at it. The entire dash was bent and the car was like folded in the middle like a folded piece of paper. The last time I heard anything about the car it was in Florida. The wrecker service was wanting me to pay over $1000 transport fee but I told them it wasn't mine any longer and they said never mind the bill.

I know if something like that happened to my Demon, I would be headed for the lawyer as soon as the car was on the flatbed. At the very least, I would be looking for the $23,000 it's appraised for, that much again for my 2 1/2 years of time building it and damages for my mental anguish. Somebody would be paying big time.
I normally don't get worked up to much over a car accident as long as nobody is hurt, but, when it comes to my dream that I poured my heart and soul into, I want revenge.

I have to admit that I cried when I was still in the ER. :sad11:

I'd be crying too. Sorry that happened to that charger. I've had my Barracuda since 1979. I am the second owner of the car and drove the car during my last year in high school. If it got smashed I'd cry too. Hopefully the guy with the smashed Valiant will get enough money to go get another one.

Had the car since I was 17 yrs old.

I was 33 when it happened.

I thought I was immune to about any tragic event at this point.
Those pictures made me wince.
Sorry about your car, she was a beauty.
Glad your still around to share the story.
A collision like that in todays iron might not have the same result!

this is exactly why i won't drive mine in town anymore.:vom:
