Well said Sir. As the oath says "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic". More and more it seems our government is a domestic threat to our Constitution.

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government's right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma'am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston
Cpl, United States Marine Corps

AMEN!!
You couldn't have articulated that any better!
And THANK YOU for your service to our country, from the dad of a marine!

X3 Once a Vet always a Vet. IMO . I think that every young boy and girl after High School should spend mandatory at least two years in the service of their choice. It not only would allow a time of maturity but give them a understanding of this countries history ( that most are lacking ), it would teach them disciplin, team work self sacrifice and weapons training and their education would be free afterwards. There is a big difference between people that go through the military and those that go straight into college. They fear what they don't understand.

Is there a way we could sign our names to a copy of this and send our affirmation of it to Feinstein? Kind of like a petition? Take out the reference to the branch of military and dates and I'd bet we could find 10,000 who would be glad to sign it.

I was thinking something similar as well.

OOOH Fu#kin RAH!!! I don't own a weapon, but I might just go buy one so I can sign this petition!

Lots of Politicians/Celebs preach gun control, yet own them. Sharon Stone is a huge anti-gun advocate, yet she chased off a trespasser with her own shotgun!

I certainly would.

That idiot Mayor of Neu Ya-ork was spouting off the other day on nationwide TV that "we really have to get these deadly assault rifles off the streets because you just hold the trigger down and they keep shooting." The interviewer actually was smart enough to correct his mistake.

This makes me feel proud to be an American! I am tired of the Media and the Government officials that claim how dangerous these guns are.

I agree, don`t want anyone to get maimed or killed, but abolishing the draft was one of the biggest mistakes america has ever made.
where do I sign !!!----------------------------------------they may eventually take our guns, but they ain`t gonna get them all!! bob:coffee2:

I want to go find Joshua Boston and give him a BIG kiss right now. Except for the military references, he's eloquently said everything I've been thinking for years, and I'd happily sign my name to his letter too if given the chance.

I never enlisted but never fail to remember or appreciate that it's our military that keeps us safe ... and speaking English. Thanks to all of you for your service. < curtsey > In the meantime, I'll be sitting over here cleaning guns. :-D

And as an afterthought, if this thread gets moved to the News and Politics forum, I'll be rethinking some things about my favorite Mopar site. It may be off topic but the Constitution and its Amendments are very important to each of us and should be guiding our country to unity, not swept under the rug and ignored.

History shows again and again that an unarmed population ends up a slave to it's government.
People in government are afraid of armed citizens, and the more BS they pull in Washington, the more afraid they should be.
We are not going to keep whacko's from being whacko by disarming the general public, but only making the whacko's feel safer as they do whatever it is that they wish to others.
This one of the things I like about AZ.
You don't storm up to someone acting like a whacko without knowing there is a real possibility that you could be shot for doing so.
When this threat is removed, there is no deterent.

They need to crack down HARD on people who use guns to harm, or attempt to harm people, and not try to remove the guns.
The laws need to be changed to where if you shoot someone without any question that it was you, you are done.
No 20 years supported by the taxpayers, and no delay.
In the case of the recent school shootings, it was a horrible thing to happen but that a-hole will never hurt anyone again period.
And we will never have to support the mentally damaged peice of ****.

Ooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy Devil Dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USMC 1992-1996

I just copied and pasted Joshua's letter on Senator Feinstein's FaceBook Wall.

Let the **** storm begin .............................. :-D

Like they said in that old movie Network, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore."

I went out and bought an assault rifle but can't get it in the house .
Bigger is better.

Question: are we past the point of no return down the slippery slope toward the socialist quagmire?
