an early a body. may have my wagon sold, so looking at another ride. wife is almost 72 but will need to drive what ever i find. kind of looking at a few 66 barracuda's. couple do not have p/s or air. p/s will be a must for her to drive. how hard are 1) the parts to find, 2) how hard/easy and 3) any real pitfalls? has anyone used electric steering on their cars? tia

To convert, hard or easy is a matter of opinion and your skill set. With factory parts, you need to get the steering gear, pump w/correct pulley and brackets for your engine, crank pulley for P/S, hoses and fittings, belt, center steering column shaft and P/S type coupler. For an aftermarket system, you'll need to get whatever kit they recommend. Some kits require you to cut your column to shorten and use their coupler. Finding a complete factory P/S changeover might a bit tough these days unless you can find someone who wants to do the opposite conversion and is willing to swap setups. Just make sure you have the same engine as the donor. I have no experience with electric steering.......I frankly find it a bit scary.
