Have a 470 stroker with a 512 lift hyd cam,was wondering if there is any benefit of using adjustable rockers over the factory rockers? If so,what rockers should I use and what pushrods? And any info on lifter preload and pusrod measuring.

..............prolly 30 hp as the factory rockers r prolly 1.42-1.45 at best.........i set preload at .006 thou............harland sharp and T@D r the best........lots of ppl use crane golds, hughes or comp pro magnums............kim.........

Adjustables are closer to the correct ratio, stiffer and can get exact preload as well as alignment. They also can compensate for milled heads, blocks or trued up rocker pedestals. They have better oil control due to a 360 degree shaft contact (or hydro-wedge) and can handle multiple camshaft lobe bases. Way more expensive to produce, thats why they went to a stamped rocker arm for the hydros.

They are not to compensate for milled heads .
