Advice on changing from stock 14 inch rims and spacing

-
If you go steel wheels just find an old dodge pick up , 15x7 with 4.25 back space until about 1985 the bolt pattern is 4.5 wheel center, finding a factory 15x8 will be a different story.

MoparCaligirl, there are numerous threads relating to wheels /tires--- see if you can find one specific to a duster since they have a spacious rear wheel house.

check out what you like ,then start your search-- someone will either have it in the buy/sell section or a vendor will have it new.

Lbp wheels are plentiful & finding nice used wheels should not be an issue unless you live in a remote area,. widen your search locally looking for aftermarket ford wheels should fit if an aftermarket wheel, factory stuff has the center register issue.

Good Luck & enjoy your hunt!!
Nice looking car btw (steelies with dog dish would look great)

I think you are smart for not going with the 14s. First off, these cars look better with a little more rubber and secondly, 14s are drying up. Just a thought here, why not look at all the different 15" dog dish hubcaps and see if there is one you like? That way, you could simply go with some factory wheels of some kind. Look at the slotted cop car wheels, for instance.

Don't apologize to these cantankerous old farts! That just makes us MORE antagonistic. ;) That's almost as bad as saying that you are planning on dropping a chebby 383 in your Duster because you heard that it fits better than a 440! :banghead:

Ha! It was pretty much pure sarcasm 😉
