Age maybe ?? But now I want a certain C-body

-
I bought a “parts” for my C body. It was a non-convertible low model 318 Polara. I ended up selling it complete because I couldn’t use the Dutchman panel to replace the one on the convertible. It was too nice of a rust free body to part out and I didn’t want to go through the trouble of filling holes and attaching trim hats to the lower panels just to get the convertible 500 trim to attach.

mega barge !!! one of my friends car,
( whey are in mid 40 year old) is grand mother purchased this car new! always garaged,318, that car on highway run so smooth

Here's the one I would buy. Sentimental favorite it's like my grandfather's old car.

I need to stay off of marketplace before I become a bad boy right before Christmas ! LOL

If I ever hit the lottery......a 300F for me! There's a little old couple that always brings a white one to the Knoxville, TN Mopar show.....and that sucker is NICE !!

My personal choice of a land barge would go back a bit further:
1960 Chrysler- Fins and big chrome bumpers that outweigh an entire Honda Civic...

There's one at a local private museum (right under halffish's nose..) and what a cool car.. Factory dual quads, Factory swivel seats, AC.. it's completely loaded and the Chrome work is phenomenal... And the guy drives it...

My Dad had 6 68 300's thru the years. Smokin ride. his last a convertible.

Personally, I think the 70-71 Imperials are some of the most beautiful cars Chrysler ever made. The low slung look , body lines, fantastic leather interiors, the hidden headlamps and that grill!! Stunning!. Styling is timeless and ranks right up there with 68-70 Chargers.
Not mine. Good condition. Needs vinyl top and some upholstery work. Located in Fredericksburg, TX - an area that does not get salted

There is a 70 300 convertible for $6200 on marketplace in Dorr, MI. I was tempted but am currently overwhelmed.

Im sure it cost more than a 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible but... Oh My !! Its gorgous !!

We had a '68 Fury III 4 door. Factory dual mirrors, dual exhaust, 383 commando, front disc brakes. I found the build sheet and it was an original police package car that wasn't a police car. Maybe a detective on the force? Or, perhaps a citizen checked the box? Anyways, a cool car for sure. Like all the rest, life moved on... LOL

I'm a diehard C-body guy. I've owned so many I can't even remember them all. Furys, Monacos, Polaras, Newports, and even a '67 Crown Imperial. I'm particularly fond of '57 through '69 Fury cars. Currently own only one C-body and that's my 1965 Sport Fury with 383-4, auto console, 8.75 rear that I've had for over 20 years now. It has been my dream car since I was 12 years old. Sadly, it's on the back burner until I get my '68 Barracuda done.

These pics are old but here she is when I was daily driving it to work every day (over 40 miles round trip) and I was still married!

The C Bodies are the ultimate road cars. They don't make that good of drag cars, but they weren't designed for that. Here in Nebraska, if you want to get someplace, you have to spend some time on the Interstate. Try that in a 3.55 geared A Body without an overdrive. My 71 Polara Patrol car in my avatar, isn't done, isn't pretty, has a HP smog 440 that needs refreshed, has 2.76 gears and I can run down the Interstate 90 mph all day if I could get away with it. I've put close to 15,000 miles on it since 2014, many of them 75-80 mph. How many A Body owners can claim that?
