WOW!! You actually found a shop that does great work and does it quickly! You should ask them if they would mind a few pictures and post some information on their shop. I think there might be a few more people on this forum who would be interested.

Not sure where to post their info, but I agree, others could benefit from their skills. They do great work and I am grateful I found them!

Coming together nicely!

There is a duster in the shop now too, I wonder if it is a members car?

Nice! That was quick. 3 different body guys and 10 years I’ve been waiting. What’s the matter with me.

Update:
The engine is in, the transmission is in, new driveshaft installed with 1350 U joints. Front suspension and brakes all done, I’m going to have to leave the drums in place for now until Dr. Diff gets some more of his rear disc kits in stock. Down to electrical and interior work and should be wrapped up soon.

Modified the hood hinges by removing the coiled spring and lower half of the hinge.

I welded a steel spacer to the upper hinge pivot where the post extends past the hinge.

Then drilled and tapped the upper post where the hinge was held on by a spring washer.

I slid the modified upper hinge with the spacer into the post and it is now pretty solid instead of the floppy crap from the factory, I put a bolt into the post I had tapped to secure the hinge assembly.

Welded a bracket and post to the body, and attached a lift support like modern cars have..

Reworking the engine bay, welded a bunch of holes, body working the whole bay, cleaning up factory crimped areas and swiss cheesed the USCT lower radiator support.

Swapped in QA1 K-Member, upper and lower control arms, strut bars and installed 1.08 sway away torsion bars.

New Borgeson steering box going too.
