I had not been extremely close, this guy was a radio amateur. But I thought well of him. Had only seen him maybe 4 times since 2000-ish. Just found out he'd gone back in January. A year older than me, he was 74.

(Rick)....................... passed away at the age of 74 on January 24, 2022, at Deaconess Hospital, in Spokane, Washington. Rick was born......................... 1947,
Rick owned his own TV Repair business in Spokane. After that, he went to work for HCJ Electronics in Spokane. Rick retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. Rick was an active Ham Radio Operator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brother, buying and selling cars, and going to breakfast with his good friend xxxxxxx................................................... --------twenty-four grandchildren---------
"HCJ" by the way back in the day was W7HCJ "Honest Cousin John" who had a new/ used amateur radio/ parts store called "HCJ Electronics" for many many years. In about 1965, I bought my first (poor performing) "cumminications" radio receiver from them.
