Does anyone know this car or what magazine it was featured in. I never saw such shitty work in my life. It is ashame for this car. But it is going to be taken apart. Who ever built it should hide their head in disgust.

Coming here was probably the best thing that could happen. Oh yeah I grabbed a shot of mine sleeping.

Note the spring hangers are welded under the rails and then blocks were added to lower the car.

All welds are as good as the ones pictured on the cage.

The harness is run in house conduit under the fenders.

The fuel line is run under the upper control arm. And take a look at the fuel pumps coming from a black pipe Tee.

The Positive battery cable is number 8 wire melted at sever places.

55 gallon drum for wheel tubs and the one sde has the lid with the plugs still atattached I will take more pics as it starts to get dismantled.

There is alot of good parts just not applied correctly

Two motors one B-1 the other angle plug eddies . Megablocks

Well does anyone know who's car this was? Or are you ashamed to say you know. I remember it in a Magazine but I don't remember which one.

I would like to send them some pics of it coming apart to make their day.

How about the house door latch that holds the electronics board up under the dash. or the trans cooler mounted behind the front plate so you can see the AN fittings and lines when they are installed for show. Wait until you see the mess under the hood.

Hughes engines did both motors. They were both junk as they were not machined correctly and coil bound.

home made dual plate 3/16 elephant ears

Lokarr (Universal fit all). ready to rip throttle cable.

No money spared on parts . Just no quality on doing the work.

Hopefully you can strip it down and salvage some of the parts. Usually not the case, but its a plan.

Oh, this car will get stripped and fixed right. It would be ashamed to waste the paint. There is another glass hood here if someone is interested. The one motor is already done. we are going to start cutting the bad work out of the car next week. I am looking for leaf springs. I have a set in the swinger in the background but would like large eye mains. Would trade for parts if local.

Here are some pics of the extra bolt on glass hood

I had to look hard at the weld it looked like carpet coming out of the tube. You'll get'er whipped into shape, as you do amazing work!

the good news is that it will only take one whack with a hammer to remove all those welded items....lol

well I am going to the garage and looking through some old issues of mopar muscle for the artical on this car.

That fuel outlet out of the tank is pretty nice

Are the electrics you pictured BEHIND the rear of the seat????

That is one of the better welds. The wires pictured are under the glove box . That assembly is hinged and locks up out of sight using that door latch.

I found one of the magazine articles Mopar Action june 2012 It states that luther didn't have to build the whole car the factory did most of the work. only his welding skills were needed. I was told it was in other magazines . It also states it fights for traction with super stock springs. They are the 318 springs it came with.

These articles are part the reason the guy who owns it now traded his Six Pack 4spd. Dana shaker 70 Challenger R/T for it. I guess he believed what they wrote. I wish he would have came to me first I would have given him my Duster and Demon with parts.

Ouch! Too bad he couldn't go back on the guy due to unsafe condition. Damn.

:banghead:Magazines, don't any journalists do research anymore? Let me guess, the information in the article came from an expert who spoke to the writer on the condition he remain anonymous. Pathetic!:violent1:

:banghead:Magazines, don't ............. do research anymore?

What makes you think any magazine ever did?

Amateur radio:

I have a correction in a 1930's mag with a simple one-tube transmitter with a grand total of about 10 parts. The original article had a mistake in the diagram

Old Hot Rod/ etc:

Years ago, I think Pop Hot Rodding (the guys who brought you "Project X" gag it forward had "Project Coupe" 'er some damn thing. I can still remember them showing "the proper way" to shorten a driveshaft --by cutting the tube in the middle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (EDIT seems to have been "Project '32")

Gun magazines. Like all the rest, any review/ test/ opinion NEVER seriously damages any of their advertisers

So take your pick. There's no "journalistic integrity," there's no real honesty, accuracy, 'er any other thing.

Bull. Mopar Action tells it like it is. Offhand, I recall them panning THREE of their advertisers (APC, Alter-K-Tion, and a company making fibreglass fenders) just off the top of my head!
