Hi again all. If you read my last tread you know that last weekend my son and I have been looking for a parts car. Here is another one we found.
I have been talking to some people and I heard of where there may be a late 60's Dart of some sort. The guy told me close to how to get to the house but it would be up to me to find it. Well, with my son driving so I can look we were going down the road and then my son had to take a leak himself and pulled of onto a gravle road. As he drove to get out of site fron the main road we came to a house. so as we drove by I seen a Dart in the back yard. I told my son good job at finding it.
Well, here is where the story gets good. I go to the house to talk to the owner and ask if it were for sale. She said she could not get rid of it, it had belonged to her late husband. It is a 69 GTS, and from what I could see of the front and pass side there is NO rust at all. She did not want me to look at it due to the LARGE DOGS in the yard. But I have heard since it has a 4-speed. It is Gold or tan, could not tell with the shade tree over it.
So in talking to my wife (great girl) she ask if I left my number in case she were to sell it later. Well I tucked my head and said no. I think I will wait till the summer and go by there again and leave my number and just to talk to the owner and tell her my plans for the father/ son project. I just wish I could have got a better look at it. Whats ya'll take on it? I don't know lots about the GTS so not sure what to look for. What is fair price to pay?
Well I hope I can add to this story later in the summer. Have a great day.
Jeff
