Sorry if this thread has already been done. Are there any songs about a-bodies?
I know of one it is "Bite, Bite Barracuda" can't remember who it is by, looked on you tube and couldn't find it. Any others?
 
There was a song in the late 80's early 90's called "Power Windows". The guy is singing about his 69 Dart.The words kinda go "It ain't got power windows or power brakes,got no power nothin',but it got what it takes" They used to play it on a Rock station,WDVE Pittsburgh, PA. on the morning show. Never heard it again.....

I've seen Clutch many times. They are a great band. That song is very old in their repertoire.

That power windows car is pretty cool.
 
I've heard more than one listening to CarTalk.

Not for sure what she was driving but the song say she was driving a Red Super Stock Dodge.. I always assumed it was a Dart...In the song Little old Lady from Pasadena By the Beach Boys...Bill:burnout:

...and I think the origin was supposed to be a early '60s Polara or 330 IIRC

Your right it was Jan & Dean as with all of there songs the Beach boys took it to fame after the fame car wreck...Im not sure of the car though...Bill8)
 
Billy Falcon Power Windows is a great song,with an even better message.
Thanks for sharing that video. It shows that you don't have to have the Mercedes,big house,ect ect to have real love.For this guy,the 69 Dart worked just fine.
The whole album is very good.
 
If you are into Punk Rock, there is a band called Car Bomb Driver,and they sing a song about driving a Dodge Dart...cant remember the name of the song. I will see if I can dig it up.
