I hear that it is a good product and was wondering if anyone has used it? With how much my dart sits each year because of our winters I thought that a good cleanout for the motor would be a good idea. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!

Only when I'm trying to hide a piss while wading in the Ocean.

Rule is you have to take a video of you using it. Point car away from house! :-)
I think a little water dribbling in the fast idle Carb works as well for chamber cleaning.

I think most of those products in a bottle don't do much. Best thing i have tried is sta bil marine formula to store gas.

Used stabil and seafoam ( now ) ... heard that seafoam does not seperate from fuel particles during storage ... unlike stabil.... what i have heard ... used both with NO issues

Good stuff. I use it as a fuel stabilizer during the winter in all my gas engines.
Use it in the oil to clean old engines, in the gas for a great fuel system cleaner, or trickle it down the carb for a great carbon blaster. (yes the water trickled down the carb @ 2000 rpm works pretty good too) tmm

Sea foam is great! my machinist recommended it after I complained of top end noise in my 2007 patriot. Apparently it had sticky valves, and was a little pokey. I put a full bottle in the tank, and drove 15 miles home. By the time I got home The noise was gone, throttle response improved greatly, and the new buyer was tickled. my 66 Polara had been sitting for an extended period, and I could hear lifter noise. I changed the oil and added a bottle as well. After about 25 miles the 383 really perked up, and the lifter noise disappeared. To this day the 383 hasn't done it again, so I recommend it.

I have used it in cars that have sat for a while, don't know if it works better than anything else, but was told at repair shop that I know the owner well that it is good stuff.

I use blue marine STABIL in all my fuel that is stored. Put it in the gas can before getting gas year round for mowers and anything else that I put gas in. My cars, put it in the FUN CARS year round just in case I don't drive it much.

I also try and put REC 90 gas (PURE GAS) in my cars that sit

For the money think STABIL is better value

I use stabil all the time, but was thinking about seafoam in my oil in the spring to help my motor that sits way too much! Got to move to a better climate so I can drive my Dart more :violent1:

My friend used it in his 97 Explorer...we used it as top end cleaner. 1/2 can while keeping it revved up then pour the rest in to stall it out, wait 10 minutes, start it back up and pound the crap out of it for a while (and smoke the neighborhood out). It ran A LOT better and could actually spin the tires afterwords. The inside of the exhaust pipe was even clean.

I've used it as well. Good stuff!! I had an Explorer that would shoot oil back out the breathers. The inside of the valve covers was caked with dried oil. I ran a vacuum line into the can and let the motor suck it out. My neighbor a quarter mile away called the fire dept thinking there was a fire in the area, with all the smoke. But, it did clean the motor out. I literally had pieces of carbon and solidified oil shooting out the tail pipe.
I had to rebuild the motor a few years later. I couldn't find hardly any crusty stuff inside.

Started using it about 3 years ago in all my vehicles and am Happy with the results also using it in the fuel for my generators

Seafoam is one of the best detergents on the market. It also works as a fuel stabilizer. You can use it in the oil or gas. I have a 5 gallon bucket filled with 2 gallons of Seafoam and a carb dip tray that I use to clean my guns.

I thought about putting it in my 1980 gold wing. But That bike will stop running if it gets near any alcohol. The carbs can't take it.I can't tell if there is alcohol in it. Anybody know?

Used in the Dart that sat for 8 years before I bought it. Used it for the first couple oil changes which I did sooner than I normally would. Amazed at how it cleaned up the engine. My oil is very clean now between changes without the instant blackening when you oil change an old sludgy engine.

Thanks guys! I am going to use it in the spring when I get the dart ready to drive again.

I have tried seafoam a few times and didn't really see any difference.

I prefer to put a bottle of the cheap gumout in my cars tanks every other month. And been doing so for over 25 + years.

As far as cleaning the carbon out quickly I always used spray gumout in the carb while raising up the engine rpm to keep it running. It always made the engine run better , and you can see the black carbon on the ground behind the car afterward

Have some in the 350 motor of my 92 G.M pu right now..hoping some of the heavy carbon buildup I can see on the rockers will go away. The truck does seem to have more power after only driving 10 km,s or so. And the motr has a soft miss that could be a carboned up vavle...maybe it will help.

My 01 F150 is addicted to the ****....if the price of gas aint enough....$1.15 a litre LOL But for $10/can/tank if the Ferd wants it, she gets it.

Ive used Sta-bil and Marine Sta-bil in the past The Marine stuff is better than the "plain" Stabil imo.

When I sell retail parts ,this is a great product.( and it's on sale a lot, hint ,hint).....

So I finally got around to putting seafoam in my Dart. There will not be any bugs for a 10 mile radius! Holy crap did the car smoke. I put 1/2 the bottle down through the carb and half in the gas tank. Now I am going to change the oil and add seafoam to the oil.
