Anyone watch Landman on Paramount Plus?

I really like the show. Entertaining Billy Bob Thornton big Texas oil drama with some reality concerning fossil fuels. But my God I end up fast forwarding thru all the scenes with his wife and daughter. It detracts from the show significantly. I'm similar in age to the main character and I have a daughter close to that age of his daughter and their relationship is stomach churning. I guess that's what unlimited money can do? Yes I know its fiction but IMO the "wife and daughter slathered in sex/ sexuality" is a downer. If I were 14 Id be saying Hell yea! Been a looooong time since I was 14!!
 
I watched the show and enjoy it. Seems I like all of Taylor Sheridans series so far. As for the sexy parts with his wife and daughter, I see it as it adds to the constant stress.

My wife and I watch Landman. I told her that the fact that I hate those two characters is a credit to the writers and actors who portray them. The wife makes my skin crawl and not in a good way. Makes me think of the Real Housewives franchise.
 
I just can't see the appeal of a gold digging albeit Hot wife that's guaranteed to make a scene everywhere he goes with her. The drug king pin played by Andy Garcia is very likable.
 
It is Hollywood, but still entertaining. One of the best Sheridans flicks.
I agree, I do not care for the daughters character but this year she has toned down a lot.
His wife, her character is as spoiled and crazy as a c*** house rat! (that is crazy!)
Remember it is just Hollywood. But a glimpse into the oil region.

If you're too old or unable to perform like a man, scenes of women may resonate with you like a car show with imports does with me.

Yeah, the women are annoying but they do look great. You can appreciate that, right?
 
Wife and I watch it and we both enjoy it.

Billy Bob is awesome in the role (I'd love to have a few beers with him) and the wife likes him cause he's from Arkansas.

The mom and daughter??? I'd take either one...or both for the night!!!

Oh those actress's are definitely hot. But I would rather see Tommy Norris hook up with Montys widow played by Demi Moore or the redhead waitress at that bar called The Patch.
 
I like it that the geologist melted the attorneys (Rebecca) icy cold heart. Demi Moore in reality is about 60 years old. Closer to Tommys age than his gold digger real housewives of Texas wife Angela. Im all caught up. Waiting for season 3.

Yeah, that how a lot of them end up. Really liked SEAL TEAM until it started turning that way. Only real good toward the end was bringing attention to PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury
 

I started watching a couple months ago. I really like the show! Another one I recently started watching, is tracker. I really like the show and have watched all seasons to catch up! That show is just heartwarming to watch.
 
The wife/daughter are annoying and anytime a dinner is involved. :mad: The non work chaos element. They are good at the retirement home! Calling Nate the wrong name all the time is good.

The first episode, daughter talking with BBT at the football game about sex is a classic. That is the high point for her in the show.

Paulina Chavez, Coopers girlfriend. Yes, Please! Better than BBT pair of ladies in the house.
Rebecca is a goody too. Someone busted the wall on the ice queen.

Well, it got interesting after yesterdays episode.

No idea, but I think the Gas rig and the guy on it meet a bad ending. Just a guess.
 
If it ain't free, we don't watch. I got so many free channels streaming, I'll never see everything in my lifetime. No need to pay for anything else.
 
Yeah, I like it. Came to it late and binged watched, about the only way I can watch series. I get impatient waiting a week. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: The wife...damn, hot old girl. Billy Bob has some great smart *** lines, reminds me of my oldest brother, without the south thing. I liked Sheridan's thing with Costner too. He makes the dialog move along, IMHO.

Kern, it's only a show, drama at best. Take a breath. The Yellow Bullet might be more appropriate for your thoughts.

I would have grabbed my stuff, looked for a SLAYER album/disc and turned it up to 12+

This is my environment, you want to meet somewhere in the middle? LOL
