Personally I would rather look at rat rods than that over priced over perfect Chip Foose stuff that proves that if you spend enough money on a car you can build a very expensive car.

My Dart is more of a shitbox than anything else. Original idea was for a ratty muscle car, but the execution is a little questionable.

It's not particularly muscular, even with a 4.10 gear, my fox body Mustang would have run circles around it, never mind what my 70 Dart would have done to it with 3.23s. It is kinda ratty I guess, more like something that I would have driven as a winter beater 30 years ago. Maybe I am stupid. Lol

I like well executed, well assembled rat rods. I see them as art forms of their owners and I appreciate the work put into them.
I seldom knock anyones ride but will make a exception for the car the OP posted.
Any beat to crap, Cobbled together rust bucket is now known as a "rat rod".

Ok @RAT ROD AL Is correct (in my opnion).

The term rat rod dont sit right with me.


Its not cool and it may lead to you getting hit in the face.

Some guy/kid/women/chick/what ever spends YEARS building and 20,30,40K on their DREAM CAR and you gonna walk up and call it a "rat rod?"

Its a hot rod unless the owner says its a "rat rod" thats like asking a guy when his fat wife is due....

Its not cool.
