Got my car all back together.Had the rear done at a shop so when I got it back I just went ahead and put it in.Well today I went to go for a test run before Moparfest and it wouldn,t move.Short story,I pulled an axel out and their to short. Now I had taken an old axel to Bears performance and asked for same axels but with 4.5 bolt pattern. How could they screw this up?I guess I should have bought from Mancini,s.I had told them it was for 8 3/4 a-body.Aren,t all a-body axels the same length?did I miss something here.I,m not to impressed.Thank god I know how to work on my own cars because this would cost me large$$$Still going to Moparfest and I bet I could pick up complete rear for alot less than I have invested in this.:wack:

Is it possible that you have an older, pre 71 b-body rear in the car?
They are about 1 1/2" wider on each side, but do fit under an a-body.

That sucks, "Big Time", I have a set of axles here, stock 4", I could've drilled out @ 4 1/2" for you. Still aren't going to be ready for Moparfest.

I'll see you there.

The rear is out of a 69 dart.I took one of the old axels to Bear,s performance so they would be measured properly(28 inches)when I recieved the new ones I never thought they would be 27 inches.I thought all a-body axels are 28 inches, somebody screwed up,so I,m leaving for Windsor at 5.00a.m hopefully they have some on the shelf or I,m asking for my money back and I,ll order from Mancini,s.

Well I drove to Windsor today and dropped off the 27 1/4 axels(supposed to be 28 inches)I also took one of the originals which Itook there the first time. They tried to tell me it wasn,nt the same one that I took them the first time(like I have plenty just laying around)LOL.I explained that they measured the original.just make some with bbp also I,d be useing 10x2 1/2 brakes.I told them make exact axel just 28 inches. They protested but, there gonna fix me up,thank god.that was a 6 hour drive there and back but I don,t want to have any more issues.
