The interior roof support is no longer making contact with the roof. Should I push it up and hope it stays? Will I have to heat it while it is being held in the UP position? Anyone out there deal with this problem before?

Clean it up, prime it , jack it up with a port-a-power/ bottle jack blocks of wood etc. might have to do a little tapping with a hammer to stress relieve it so it stays up, run a bead of heavy bodied seam sealer across the beam. Block it up till dried/ overnight. Need to get it up though so it doesn't pull the roof down when let loose.

I would drill out the welds remove, straighten, replace and re-weld. But that is just me. you are not going to get it perfect any other way.
