Thanks for being here guys & gals. I'm new to FABO. 65 Barracuda 273 auto w/AC. Blower motor has been making a sickly sound that fades in & out depending on how fast the blower is running. A coupla days ago it started blowing a good bit stronger which was puzzling but it the extra cold air felt great. Today while out running errands I started "Goldie" with the air ON, which I try not to do, and, no blower, no compressor. Fuse is OK. What should I do next and any idea why it started blowing so well just before this happened?

Dunno , There are resistors that create the various speeds. They may have overheated and improved connection for a while before they fryed. Just a guess

Thanks Redfish, sounds plausible. I know the blower is ok; I ran a wire from the battery. Is the resistor the most likely culprit?

not sure but on newer cars if freon is low compresser wont run. it has a low pressure switch

Goldie's a/c decided to work again. No messing w/the dash for now. Oh, learned that cheap testing lamps are junk.

If the problem is intermittent it probably is the contacts in the relay. Might be a good thing to just replace the relays anyway. Plan on doing that with my Dart. Mike
