No, not another guitar. My wife will KILL me if I did that. Instead I bought another car.... a `74 Dart 2 dr. /6,auto, P/S,P/B,74K miles, CLEAN...CLEAN...CLEAN! It's chocolate brown with a tan bench seat interior. No rust....runs great. Just have to seal the wiper pivots and replace the brake light switch. This should scratch that itch I get when I need an old Mopar to drive.

Unfortunately, one comes...one goes. I had to sell my Sentra SE-R. I'm gonna miss that little pocket-rocket. No more entering exit ramps at 3 times the posted speed limit.....heel & toe downshifts.....screaming power shifts at 7,500 RPM.... my wife hanging on for dear life. Or the possibility of killing myself driving it like my *** was on fire. So now while the Barracuda is away at body-shop camp I'll have something cool to drive that's not gonna get me killed or arrested. I'll post pictures when I get it home

BTW: Anyone have a rotted-out old Chrysler with a 440 & Torqueflite? I hear those Schumacher swap mounts work real good in A bodies.....

Congrats John,
I thought it was another one of those things with strings at first. Now I know for sure you are a cronic Mopar Head. get those pics up quick before somebody lynch's you.

Hmmm..... I wuz thinkin:

Plan A: Schumacher big block mounts, a 383-400-440, 727, and an 8 3/4 with 3.23-3.55's and a REAL QUIET exhaust.:-k

Plan B: Complete Hyper-Pak type system with headers and a 4 bbl on the 6. Maybe a 100 shot of spray just for fun....:supz:

Plan C: Leave the F`er alone. Plan C happens to be VERY popular with the woman whom I share a toothbrush rack with.=;

Either way, it really is a cute car. Did I just say "cute"?

A mopar nut and guitar head. My wife would kill me if I had as many cars as guitars. I have 2 darts and at last count 9 guitars, a banjo, mandolin and a fiddle. Congrats on the new ride.

9 Guitars, a Banjo, Mandolin, and a Fiddle. COOOOL! I'm just a Bassist... and one has to go. Know anybody looking for a semi hot-rodded Carlo Robelli?

Congrats on your new purchase, I wish I had your money and my wife was as understanding as yours. I've got a 440-727 combo but I doubt you want to pay to ship from Canada and yes the Schumacher kit and headers work just fine but a little tight with power steering on the 440. :burnout:

Thanks for the well-wishes on my new toy. And as for the money, you gotta remember: We have no children and we both have good jobs. Plus I do some wheeling & dealing to get my mad money, which goes a long way to make the wife understanding since I'm not attacking household or savings money for toys.

And as for the 440/727, couldn't ya just buy 2 tickets on a Greyhound and tell me when to go meet it? With a hoist....:toothy7:

Yea right, I'm sure that U.S. customs will believe that I'm sending it to my dear old grandma in north Texas.
Both my kids are grown with lives of their own now so this Dad can play and believe me he does or at least as far as my wife lets me. I once took the wife for a ride in the old slush box and somewhere between 2nd and 3rd she slapped my shoulder but then gave me that good smile. :evil2:

Evil is probably 15 minutes from me, I get down Lancaster and that area a bit, I install signs and neon for chain type stores/restaurants/??? etc..and I'll go where I need from NY to Virginia.
The other point here about good women, I got a keeper 25 years ago. I sold my Harley in 97 and when I drug the first Dart home she just smiled, then she actually helped me go get the second one. She supports my music as well, goes to all the gigs, does the bookings, buys me guitars if I mention I'd like another.
My kids are grown too, so it's play time, with the grandsons sometimes, but still play time.
