Broken engine mount ear help

Hi everyone, I just got my 440 out of the machine shop and noticed that one of the lower engine mount ears is broken off. Is this block usable as is with maybe a torque strap on the top bolt holes or is a motor plate my only option?

Run it. Bolt it up like it wasnt broken. How much torque we talking?

@67Dart273 i will research elephant ears. I'm not familiar with them.

@pishta it will be a mild 440. Never raced but i do enjoy to drive fast.Maybe 450-500hp.

I just use a 3/16" strap from the top rear of the water pump house down to the k. Almost too easy without PS.

Cast iron can be easily brazed with nickel rod by someone who knows how to do it. That could be fixed right up.

Yup, I’ve brazed them a few times. Never had 1 break after either. They can also be welded with a nickel rod as rrr says. Kim

Did the machine shop do it ? Is the piece that broke off in hand or lost?
