Do you actually stamp them? Or use a vibrater pen. For my use, I use a sharpee.

PO used a vibrator pen on cap and paint pen on rod.

I used paint pen on rod but plan to stamp the end between halves to be crystal clear

I belt sand the area where the number stamps typically are(at the parting line), then restamp them fresh.

I probably have a spare set of 440 rods plus a set of NOS 440 rods. I could probably come over and tell you what is going on.
