Now onto valley plate test fit. Fit nicely except it is missing two bolts.

Test fit intake manifold, valve covers and distributor. Distributor hits valve covers. Will have to be clearance. Intake lines up well with ports. Will post more pictures of intake port alignment upon final assembly.

Bagged until I can order intake bolts, balancer bolt, missing valley pan bolts, and ultra gray rtv for the valley pan to head seal area. Will measure for pushrods tomorrow hopefully so they can go the order list.

Are those Harland Sharp rockers or the one HS makes for Mancini?

I ask because if they are the Mancini rockers the geometry should be very very close. If they are HS rockers I would call Mike at B3 Racing Engines and see what he says about correcting the geometry.

It’s better to find out now and buy pushrods once.

These are the Harland Sharp that Trickflow recommended for their heads.
The geometry looked really good when I had the checking springs on the heads.
I am remeasuring for pushrods because I cut .040 of the Trickflow heads to raise my compression ratio.

I called Summit racing yesterday to let them know that the valley pan was missing two bolts. They are having Trickflow send me the missing bolts. Wow great customer service. I was not expecting this.

Damn the missing bolts are here already wow that is great customer service.
I returned the incorrect balancer bolt and picked up the correct one along with the RTV.

I forgot to look at intake manifold bolts when I was at Summit racing yesterday no big deal.
Of all the things I have lost I miss my mind the second most. lol

I use my wish list a lot on places like Amazon and Summit. If I think of it and know I’m going to need it but don’t need it today it goes on the wish list. Especially when they have an amount to meet for free shipping. Johnny doesn’t pay for shipping from Summit because there’s always something on my wishlist. If you would see my collection of hose fittings, bolts, spacers, cam keys, crank keys, and stuff like that it would amaze you.

Nice that you have a summit store you can go shop at .

Had a jeep brake job today.
Only thing I got done one the motor today was to clearance the valve cover for distributor and to test fit aluminum water pump housing look like I may run in trouble trying to use my front oil pickup port on my block. That problem is for another day after the oiling system parts arrive next month.
The motor is now in the old shop for now until oiling system parts arrive hopefully next month.
