Cam Question on new build 512

If you are constantly setting the lash on a solid cam you just don't know what you are doing or you have a really cheap/crappy valve train assembly.

I check mine once a year. I've never had a tight one and the loosest I've seen them is about .004 out. I can hear it if they are off. So I guess you can hear .004.
