can I get some help with my heater...

I have a 72 scamp and cant get my heater or ac to turn on. I hot wired the fan and it works, i have 12 v going through the wire to the fan. The fuses arent blown.

Also my temp gauge reader on my dash cluster wont work. I put a new temp gauge on the intake and the wire looks good.

Does anybody know what could be the issues or how to troubleshoot to see what could be the issue.

It sounds like it,s time for a new heater control switch?Maybe find a used one at the wreckers or place an ad in the parts wanted forum.Good luck.
