Can someone help decode this body code plate

I have all the white books and trying to understand how to read the plate. Confused on some of the codes but if anyone could help out decode the whole thing that would be great. I know its hard to read some of the numbers from my pics. The car is a 67 Dart GT but want to know the motor and trans from the body plate.

Vin will tell you engine (5th digit IIRC)

post up to the sequence number (last 6 digits)

This will decide the vin
1966-67 Dodge Vehicle Identification Numbers (vin)


Here is what I get off of one site.
13 inch wheels says drum brakes.

I goofed on u1 that equals "sold car"

31 = 273 2bbl
1 = 3 speed
if that helps.

Okay guys appreciate all the help. I did find a picture of the vin on the door jam so i have that now. Do you think this is a 3 speed manual shift on the column or a automatic 3 speed on the coloumn 904? i am not near the car to go look at it

What website is this that does all the decoding of body plates? I have the white books from Galen
 
Easiest way I have found is get the values close look at the bottom of the decoded area and if you see (for instance) t1 but you were shooting for u1 and a space infront of the 1
 
My recollection is that the 67 Shop manual has all the basic info for body line and maybe engine in the first pages.
Option codes often match with the sales code info, generously collected and posted in the Hamtramck Historical digital Library.

Body info is in the shop manual. Off the top of my head L = Dart, P is cost level, 23 = hard top

Drill through the 1967 Dealer Data Books, and Paint and Trim Option books to get most of the rest.,
Radio code '1' is 421 Transaudio AM (same as my '67)
The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Library Page (1965 - 1969)
