I have a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS, 383 4-speed. I purchased and rebuilt the correct Carter AVS 4426S carburetor. However, it did not have the dsahpot or the choke vacuum diaphragm.
First, what are their functions?
Second, can the carb/engine operate properly without one or both of these parts?
Any help/education is appreciated.
Thanks,
Al in Maine
