I had the front wheels off today to check a few brake things and deceided to paint the rims. I've been toying with color ideas and plain argent silver was not an option. First it was going to be body color then I thought black. Well as you see I chose something totally different. While digging through my spray bomb cabinet I found some metallic graphite looking color I bought for my model bench, it didnt spray well on 1/25 scale do to it has to be laid on thick or it looks dry. Well for under $5.00 and about 1/2 hour of my time to do both front wheels. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Oh yeah, I had a dream last nite that I painted flames on my hood scoops that matched the body color(hood would be painted satin black)Hmmmmmm. :-k

Hey 70Duster440, I was flipping through my Dec. issue of Mopar Muscle and saw your car in the Bench Racing section, ORANGE DELIGHT, Too Cool! I love those Torque Thrusts. I'm going that route for my GTX.

Small update, repainted the air cleaner with plasti-cote wrinkle finish, cooked in my grill for 1/2 hour at 100 deg.f.(read about that on a post here, not sure who's) All I have is the finished pic.

Ok, Im headed out to the garage to finish aligning my fender and start work on the pass. side. I will also be posting some more cybersale classified items=D>.

Ok, todays project was some metal replacement where the last quarter was attached. This was a PITA.(as was the other side). I ended up cutting about 4" all the way down. Still some finish work to do but this was the last of the hard crap. Oh yeah, anybody ever get hot weld slag down your ear? OUCH!

Oh yeah, down the boot. 1/8 " hole through every layer off skin. By the time I got my boot of the fire was out.....top mark. And the most current down the boot one just below, that one not as bad.

Scored a mini tach on fee-bay. I was looking for something small to fit my guage cluster, was hoping for a Stewart Warner but if you can find one they are $$$$$$$$$. So I found a Sun Mini. I had to take it apart and modify it some but it came out pretty good.
I sanded about 1/8" of the face bezel so it wit fit better in the frame and used weather strip to secure it.
I used some hose clamps to hold inplace and will probably add some epoxy to the back to really snug it up.

Not much right now. I am nursing a herneated C-6. I was stripping the paint from the underside of my hood and did make a piece for my shifter. I will add those.

:thumleft:That is one nice lookin' console on account of the updated shifter knob and the gearshift filler piece.......now that is some smart recycling:cheers:
I'll have to get you to do my 340 Duster's console(one of these years](*,))
......oh yeah, I have you to thank for how my air cleaner turned out:p
