Things are kind of in limbo at the moment everyone. The top is on but not perfect. Nothing I can't fix. I definitely learned alot from doing it myself. I will pay somebody the next time. Maybe.
I have been working on getting the trim installed for the glass but it is not going well. The trim doesn't seem to fit the gasket. :angry7: It's just one small thing after another. Stuff that makes you loose interest.

Here are some pics. I am still trying to figure out my new camera.

Not sure what I will do with this thread sence the picture crash, probably start another. Here are the updated pics.

Awesome Job!!! Looking really great!!8)

Nice job, and good see another Dart GT back on the road.
Or is yours a Swinger, HC?

I'd be proud to drive that mother. I love orange too. Too many sassy grass cars around now.

Geo

Thanks guys. This is a Swinger, 340_dart_power. I need to get the 340 into it. The 273 sound like it has a rod knock or collapsed lifter, or BOTH.

340 is assembled, I just need to pull the 273 and paint the engine bay. :clock:

I do brother and thanks for the complament! I need to get the 340 into it, the 273 is a real oil burner. Atleast that keeps me from pushing the forward pedal to hard.

Yes, but when you do everyone behind you in traffic gets to enjoy that old car odor (lol)....

Very nice. Thats a fine looking dart. I may be partial though. Gotta love orange.

Just noticed the pics are back!

Thanks Joey.8)

273 is out and I am doing all the fun stuff(cleaning and painting everything) before dropping the 340 back in. I will post some pics later today.:-D

OK the engine bay has kicked my arse and I still have to drop the engine in. And I have a new saying here. "The more I grind, the more I find".

Here are some pics of the dirty work and some of the finished product.

The engine compartment work has turned out very nice. I have never seen that cast paint before, where did you find it? It looks pretty natural in the pix. Keep it up! L8r

Thanks Jim. I picked up the paint at Car Quest. I used it for the master cylinder also.

Hi Homecloned
How did you get the gunk out of the windshield housing? Was that a grinder?

Also did you have any scale rust in the trunk area or hood.
I have some lite scale rust in both areas some of which looks hard to get to and am trying to figure out what to do.
