The owner of all this memorabilia and cars is local, the car club had a monthly meeting at his place so I jumped at the chance to go, always fun looking at this vintage and rare stuff. All the signs are vintage originals and many are local to the area. The owner started collecting all this stuff back in the 1960's and still continues today....enjoy :happy1:

All these cars also belong to him :glasses7:

The Pan Car was built in St. Cloud MN between 1917-1919, only about 12 are known to exist, I think 5 or 6 are local here yet....the "Pan Motor Company" lettering is off the original factory and proudly displayed in his shop.

He collects telephone insulators as well, here is a huge one from 1933 he recently bought in Indiana that was in a field that was actually broken up, he restored the dang thing, he said it even has the rare base or stand....looks like its from a "Sci-Fi" movie from the 50's :happy1:

Few pics of some cars that members drove...there was a threat of storms so only the "die-hard" guys showed up with vintage iron :glasses7:

WOW the guy must be the "Jay Leno" of MN, eh?

the absolute dedication to the love of the car and its memorabilia is absolutely amazing. :prayer::prayer::prayer:

Pretty much...infact, I am pretty sure he met Leno in person......the pics I took only show a small part and do not do any justice....too bad I didn't take any pics of his house built on a MN granite quarry :prayer:

I would love to come and see the display! Whereabouts exactly is it, in Minnesota?

Not open to the public as far as I know, but a very friendly guy so maybe a private tour could be arranged...I know people who are good friends with him.

You have no idea how much passion this guy has for the old stuff, no doubt his collection will inspire others and be around for many more years, hopefully someday it will be a museum for all to see :glasses7:

Awesome pictures Keith. Thanks. We have a guy local to us in Madison, Georgia right up the road. He is the CEO of the Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum Company. He used to have the largest collection of mini and micro cars in the world. He still may....but he auctioned a lot of them off last year or the year before. Really cool stuff.

seeing this gives me an irresistible urge to start sanding.......that would be such an awesome project to get that thing straight as a surf board.

I have been away from body work too long.....I can just get lost for hours in sanding and going over every last square inch of a car two, three, four times until you know the car so well that you could point at even the smallest blemish blindfolded.

anyone can drive a car but few can know it like you know your own hand.

HOLY **** the attention to detail, and sheer love of the "Automobile" is off the charts in that place! DAMN why must I live so far away to things like this! LOL

I believe that is the largest private collection I have ever got a glimpse of.
I do hope it will remain intact as an available museum for the public some day.
The stories should be saved also, it appears a lot of the collection is 100 years old.
So many car manufacturers that didn't survive the great depression I've never heard of.

Yes, many are and so many have history, here is a pic of Roy and his Pan Car I found

In 1985, Roy drove this 1903 curved dash Olds from coast-to-coast......it was a run Oldsmobile made when it was new in 1903 to promote the "horse-less carriage" ...not sure if the car is the actual car or not....but still kewl :glasses7:
