Choke Thermostat

I want to replace my choke thermostat. My choke thermostat has a wire coming off of it, but I see that most of the replacement parts do not have this wire. Does this really matter? Thanks!

It can take a little longer for the choke to come off without the heat assist but on a slant 6, it's not a real big deal. The heat well gets warm pretty fast anyway.
