It's Christmas morning
I sit here in peace
Enjoying my coffee
In silence, at ease
Soon they will rise
The family that is
Grandmother first
And the all the kids
Excitement will lead
The little ones minds
As they rush to the tree
To see what they find
The paper will fly
The smiles will gleam
As happy little faces
Look for their dreams
The noise becomes loud
With each gift they find
Excitement unbound
Takes over their minds
Then they will play
And try all their toys
It will go on all day
For both girls and boys
The peace it was nice
But it ends with a bang
Like cats chasing mice
Here comes the the gang
