That's why I drill a small hole in the cam plate that opens into the passenger side oil gallery. Then it gets oil.

As perfacar says, pre lubing the chain is a must.

This is why I use gear drives.

Yep, I drilled the tensioner plate at the galley plug and then drilled a 1/64 hole in the plug.
