I know I'm right....
Saw these and shook my head. Yellow? Could you stomach reds on a flat black rat rod?
When is America going to bring manufacturing back to the home land and start making cool stuff that could only be had stateside. Kinda like the 50sInteresting information I found on the web about this manufacturer and black vs other colors.
“Double Star is Mr Chai Yongsen. It has been awarded honors by the Chinese government for environmental technology developments.
Originally a rubber company with a focus on footwear within China it transitioned to tire development in 2002 through the acquisition of Chinese Green Tires and increased capacity after the acquisition of Dongfeng tires in 2005.
In 2011 they unveiled a new range of colored tires. Colored tires have long been a difficult item to produce well as the carbon black that gives tires their color is actually an agent that gives tires longevity, it is difficult to develop tires with similar properties in colors other than black.”
A few of their other colors.

The only reason the products aren't made in the USA and here in Canada is simply economics. We demand high wages where in China, Taiwan etc the wages are a lot lower. So we have a choice, pay more for the product built here or pay less and have them build it for us. I'd pay more to have it built here and create more employment for us here. Hopefully their wages will increase so we can compete but I'm afraid it won't happen in my lifetime. Read the labels on everything you buy to see where it is made especially food products. Their quality control is way different than ours if any at all.Yah I know, and totally agree with you, wish we could revert many things.
The way I see it, it is up to us and our children to make it happen.
American workers, business owners, and politicians have to all be pushing in the right direction, to have any chance. In general the entirety of the American population has or can have influence on things in one direction or the other. We have to vote for those who represent our interests, we also have to vote out those who do not. We have to be willing to buy American, even if it cost more. I could go on detailing what I theorize the reasons and solutions are, but I will stop myself because it would probably be more appropriately discussed on the political forum.
Ask the EPA....and the Union who will be working the plant. If they can both agree on a plan that will make their price point Internationally competitive, there you go....wont happen. When is America going to bring manufacturing back to the home land and start making cool stuff that could only be had stateside.
