console shifter question

Has anybody put an aftermarket shifter into a car with the stock console leaving the console there an removing the stock shifter and putting the aftermarket shifter inplace. please post pics and tell of any modifications. My car is a 68 Dart GT. thanks. Eddie

are you wanting to know if there are aftermarket shifters that work with the console?

or are you wanting to know if you can swap the shifter with out taking the console out?

A Quicksilver shifter will work with some mods (talk to Demon Seed, I think he is the one that did it). I made a D-100 indash shifter work in an A-body console when I was building the 72 Scamp that we traded to Redscampi. I never got a chance to get the right cable hooked up though. The shift points lined up perfect with the indicator in the console.

Im in the the middle of putting a B&M pro ratchet shifter in my 67 barracuda
so far working out great I may decide not to install the gear indicator
i really like what 360 scamp is doin though.
